About this calculator
Convert a coin amount to a supported fiat currency, or estimate the coins received for a fiat amount. Enter the coin price in US dollars, the fiat exchange rate and a transaction fee.
DCA means dollar-cost averaging, modeled here as an initial investment followed by regular monthly purchases. This is a forward scenario using an assumed price change, not a historical backtest.
How to use this calculator
- Choose the coin, fiat currency and either conversion or DCA mode.
- Enter the coin price in US dollars and fiat units per US dollar. The exchange-rate input must be one for USD.
- For conversion, select the direction and amount. For DCA, enter initial investment, monthly purchases, duration and annual price change.
- Add the fee percentage, calculate and review the converted amount or the purchase timeline, coins and ending value.
Understand your result
Conversion deducts the entered fee from the gross converted output. Check the result unit: coin-to-fiat returns money, while fiat-to-coin returns a coin quantity.
DCA ending value marks accumulated coins at the final assumed price. Profit subtracts all contributed fiat, including purchase fees, but excludes a future sale fee and tax.
Questions about this calculator
Does DCA mode use historical coin prices?
No. It converts your assumed effective annual price change into a monthly change. The initial investment buys at the starting price, and later purchases occur after each month's modeled price movement.
Does selecting a coin change its assumed future return?
No. You enter the price and forward annual change. A labeled reference quote can supply the starting price; it does not predict future prices. Reference prices are Powered by CoinGecko.
Can the exchange rate change during the DCA projection?
No. The entered fiat-per-US-dollar rate remains constant for the full scenario. Coin quantities can be fractional, and the same entered fee applies to the initial and monthly purchases.
How current is a crypto reference price?
The KlarFort snapshot time shows when KlarFort retrieved the price snapshot, not a trade time or the coin's last market update. Quotes may be cached and are indicative. A missing or unavailable quote leaves manual price entry available. Loading a coin price does not change your entered fiat exchange rate or future price assumption.
Where do my figures go?

Formula and assumptions
Conversion = coin amount × USD price × fiat per USD. DCA buys coins after each month’s assumed price change, less purchase fees.
- Reference prices are supplied through KlarFort snapshots. Powered by CoinGecko. Entered example prices are illustrative assumptions.
- DCA is a forward scenario, never a historical backtest. Purchases occur at month end; fractional coins are supported.
- FX remains constant through the DCA scenario. Ending values are before a possible future sale fee and tax.
